Marbridge Executive Leadership Symposium

“We are excited to host the fifth annual Marbridge Executive Leadership Symposium and hope that you can make it! This year’s symposium will be held again in our Victory Hall Athletics and Events Center on our campus in Manchaca/South Austin, TX from the evening of Wednesday, April 26 through Friday, April 28. The goal of this symposium remains the same: bring together like-minded professionals in leadership positions of special needs programs for individuals of varying abilities to discuss challenges, build relationships, and work together so we may better serve these individuals and their families.

Our keynote speakers this year are Ron Suskind and his son, Owen. Ron Suskind is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, best-selling author, teacher essayist and speaker whose impassioned presentations mix monologue with reportage, pathos with humor and global politics with personal ruminations on subjects as diverse as capitalism, care-giving and the future of communication. He is the author of six bestselling books, the most recent of which examines his own family’s two-decade struggle to help son, Owen, emerge from the shadows of autism through a unique, and wildly creative, form of therapy.

We are currently putting together a full agenda with dates and times and will provide more details as it is finalized. This event will have plenty of opportunities for networking, as always, with a couple of evening dinners at local restaurants and breakfast and lunch provided at Marbridge. We encourage feedback about issues, topics, etc that you would like to see covered. Please stay tuned to future emails and information.
